How it works
Most beginners get handed the same first class regardless of who they are. FightG replaces that with a screening method inspired by the Functional Movement Screen used across professional sport: simple standardised tests that decide exactly what you should do next.
Three questions, in order
Which sport suits me?
A short profile matches your goals, body and personality to a ranked shortlist of disciplines.
What am I ready for today?
A no-equipment self-screen scores your movement quality and fitness into a Combat Readiness Score out of 100.
What next, and how do I progress?
You get a personalised pathway, then re-screen every 4 to 6 weeks so progress is visible and tangible.
The four readiness bands
Your score places you in one named band, each with a different starting pathway. Nothing is a black box: you always see your per-test scores and exactly why you scored what you scored.
Your body isn't yet prepared for typical class demands.
2 to 4 weeks of guided home preparation: mobility, basic conditioning and movement practice. Your first academy visit is deferred until your confidence is built.
Ready for structured beginner training with support.
Beginner classes at a partner academy, plus targeted home corrective work on your lowest-scoring tests.
Fully class-ready.
Standard beginner progression, a technique-focused pathway and equipment guidance for your first purchases.
Above the typical beginner level.
An accelerated pathway with earlier sparring-preparation milestones and performance-oriented content.
Safety is built in, not bolted on
Pain during any test always stops the screen and routes you to professional guidance before training. Health flags adjust your pathway automatically. All physical coaching happens under qualified coaches at partner academies, FightG's digital pathway prepares and tracks, it never replaces supervision.
This is a working demo: the matching weights and thresholds are illustrative, and the validated version is built with exercise science, physiotherapy and S&C advisors.
